Joint Training: Cadets from all three services (Army, Navy, and Air Force) train together, fostering camaraderie and a shared understanding of the armed forces.
Pre-Commission Training: The NDA provides foundational military and academic training before cadets move on to specialized academies for their respective services.
Bachelor's Degree: Upon successful completion of the three-year course, cadets are awarded a Bachelor's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Selection Process: Candidates are selected through an examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), followed by an interview with the Service Selection Board (SSB).

To make students exercise and practice well we have big and well-maintained grounds. We have all equipment and other materials on the grounds to prepare students for defense services. Regular practice of running, a long- jump, high- jump, beams, dips, etc keep students fit and give the same level of preparation.
Nihar Nikunja Defence Academy is a complete residential Institute. students live under the observation of an experienced warden. We provide all facilities like big and spacious rooms, good quality food, neat and clean toiletry facilities, etc. Television is there for current news and sports. Hostels typically enforce rules against ragging and ensure a safe environment.
